Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology was established by the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism, in the Union Territory of Pondicherry in October 1991 and is now being sponsored by the Government of Pondicherry also with a prime objective of developing human resource for the hospitality industry. Besides, institute provides job opportunities to the youth in a wide range.
