The AES Post Graduate Institute of Management (PGIM) was found in the year 2000. PGIM provides quality education with experienced faculty members. PGIM is approved by AICTE, and is a constituent of the School of Management, Ahmedabad University. It currently offers a two year MBA and other short duration programs. The courses offered are continuously upgraded to improve their relevance. Campus placement at PGIM has been very encouraging. The institute’s alumni have done remarkably well and that is facilitating the placement process further. Placements at the Institute are handled by a faculty member and a committee of second year students supports the placement activities.
Final Placement Process
Submission of proposal
Companies intending to visit the campus for recruitment may contact the Placement Cell with the basic details about company, Job Profile, job descriptions, job location, compensation offered and any other specifications, if required. Once the interest of the company is received the Placement Cell will make necessary arrangements for the Pre-Placement Talk (PPT), final selection and inform company of the same.
Pre-Placement Talk (PPT)
PPT provides an opportunity to the recruiting company and the students to interact with each other and this helps students to take an informed decision. The presentation by the company is in general regarding the history, growth potential, future plans and details about the profile, compensation package/ location offered and any such relevant information.
Final Selection
The company is requested to inform the Institute Placement Cell of their recruitment procedure. The company may send details of their selection procedure (online aptitude test, psychometric test, group discussions, number of rounds of interviews, etc.), which will enable the Institute to make necessary arrangements. By the end of the selection process, the company will inform the Institute Placement Cell about the final selection of the candidates thereafter in writing.
Facilities for Recruiters
The Institute is well equipped with necessary facilities. It has state of the art, air-conditioned classrooms equipped with multimedia and audio-visual equipment, classrooms for group discussions, and boardroom for conducting personal interviews.
