The Purushottam  Institute of Engineering and Technology is a part of Puroshottam Education and Welfare Trust. It is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology Rourkela and Sambalpur University, Sambalpur. It offers Bachelor degree course in the field of Engineering. Classroom

  • The classrooms/ lecture halls in the college are fully air-conditioned and are sound proof.

Laboratory

  • The well equipped spacious laboratories of PIET are designed .The Physics and Chemistry laboratory, the Electronics Laboratory, (Analog, Circuit Design and Testing, Digital and Communication, DSP, VLSI) Power electronics Lab are well equipped with modern and computerized gadgets. All the Computer Laboratories of the Institute are of high standard. Two Internet laboratories enjoy connectivity through Software Technology Park of India (A Govt. of India Enterprise) leased line with high bandwidth.

Library

  • The provides library facility through the central library and departmental libraries. It has a rich collection of more than 1700 unique Titles and 16000 volumes covering almost all areas of Engineering, Science & Technology and Humanities.

Hostel

  • The Institute has three hostels for students & a guest house for the teachers. All the hostels are provided with modern amenities. These hostels have full time superintendents and teaching staff as warden looking after the hostel activities. The mess provide balanced and nutritious food. A four storeyed hostel with a capacity of around 800 is going to come up in near future.

ExtraCurricular

  • The Institute organize every year cultural activities on the days like Republic & Independence Day, Institute Annual & Foundation Day, Student welcome, Saraswati ,Ganesh & Viswakarma Puja, Utkal Divas etc.The students are encouraged to take part in various cultural activities like music, drama, debate, quiz competitions etc.
