Ram Nirikshan Atma Ram College is a constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University. The college was established with the aim of making higher education available to the students of this semi-urban area and thus equipping them for employment. Since its inception, the college has grown remarkably and through the various ramifications serving the cause of education in different ways. It has emerged as one of the premier co-educational institutions of the state of Bihar. The College also offers teaching of three courses under Career Oriented Programme. The courses are Women Development Study, Land Surveying and Biotechnological Techniques.
