S M Shanbhag Hegdekar Institute of Teachers Training offers teachers training leading to D.Ed. To increase the pool of well-qualified teachers and to expand the educational opportunities in the community. Institute have established a Teachers Training Institute, which has been approved by the Government of Karnataka to offer courses leading to the D. Ed starting from the 2006-2007 academic year.
