The inatitute Samrat Ashok Technological Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi proudhogiki vishwavidyalaya and accridited by NBA. The Institute was established under the 'Open Door' policy of the Government of India, by the Maharaja Jiwajirao Education Society, Vidisha with a donation from the Gangajali Trust Fund of the Scindias, erstwhile rulers of the Gwalior state and commitment of non-recurring and recurring grants from the Government of India and the Government of Madhya Pradesh in agreed proportions. ?

Classroom

  • All the classrooms of the college are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The Workshop has all the conventional trade shops required for regular curriculum. In recent years it has been extensively modernized to cater to the needs of fabrication work involved in students projects and has a very modern Metrology Laboratory for precision measurements.

Library

  • The Library has a rich collection of all kinds of text books and reference books related to various subjects of studies of the engineering as well as applied science courses being run at the institute. A number of important scientific and technical journals are being subscribed to. The Library also extends a Book Bank Service to needy students, particularly of reserved categories.

Hostel

  • The Hostels are well equipped with adequate furniture and other living facilities like Aqua guard water purifying system and solar water heating system, geyser facility .

ExtraCurricular

  • The NCC Unit of the Institute admits 100 cadets every year who are given technical and military training in the Institute with the help of P.I. staff deputed by the NCC. An NSS Unit of 100 volunteers exists in the Institute. These volunteers carry out social service and Rural Development Programmes and help government authorities to implement their poverty alleviation and employment generation schemes.

Placement

Institute arranges vocational industrial  training and campus interviews for students. The number of firms and organizations conducting campus interviews in the Institute has been steadily increasing over the last few years and a large number of students are getting good job offers before they pass out.
