School of Forensic Sciences (SFS), Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences has a separate department of Forensic Science (DFS) which was incepted in July 2006. DFS provides rigours training to its students and converts them into a dynamic personality. The department inject virtue and ability of a true forensic scientist in its student through their efficient faculty. In a short span of time forensic department achieved outstanding landmark in forensic education. The college has its own well equipped lab especially for analysis of clue material related to the field of forensic document examination, fingerprints, forensic chemistry, ballistics, forensic physics, forensic biology, forensic sociology, forensic toxicology, explosive analysis etc. The course is well recognized & supported by the Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India.
