The School of Historical Studies which came into existence in 1970 consists of 3 Departments - Modern, Medieval and Ancient. The Division of School into 3 components is, however, strictly meant for specialization and research in the respective fields by individual Faculty Members. As far as teaching in concerned the School offers two PG courses i) M.A. and ii) M.Phil., both common to all the 3 Departments. In addition, Doctoral Research at Ph.D. level is also conducted for full time and part time Scholars.
