School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University was established with the major objectives of producing a vibrant cadre of lawyers, equipped with professional competence and good law teachers and legal researchers, providing specialized courses in emerging and important areas of law for post-graduate studies and research and providing a special focus on the contribution of Indian thought in the field of law and jurisprudence as part of the general stream of legal education.
