School of Information Technology, West Bengal University of Technology established by the Government is conceived to be an apex institute for education, training and research. Its vision is to serve as a catalyst and agent of change to steer the State of West Bengal towards integration with the global network society in the new millenium The School aims at becoming a Centre of Excellence in teaching and research as well as a nodal centre to act as an Academic Staff College for training teaching personnel for Engineering and Technological Institutions.
