School of Life Sciences, Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University formally came into existence in September 1994 with the establishment of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. The School was established with a stress on Interdisciplinary learning and research in Life Sciences. The School is also supported by UGC under the NON-SAP programe. School is offering courses Master of Science in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Master of Philosophy in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany and Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany.

Classroom

  • All the classrooms of the school are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The school have Computer laboratory and Instrumentation laboratory with HPLC/Ion Chromatograph, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, PCR, Spectrophotometer and HPTLC system.

Library

  • Library of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University is the Nucleus of the Teaching-learning program. Though the collection is not larger by number, it is rich in quality. Shortly it will cross the number of 50,000.

Hostel

  • University provides good hostel facility to non–localites students. Boys Hostel has a capacity of 120 single seated rooms & Girls hostel has 124 rooms, which are well ventilated and furnished.

ExtraCurricular

  • At present the N. S .S. students strength is 13500. The N. S. S. has been implemented in 105 affiliated colleges with 175 units. The N. S. S. open unit has also been started during 1997-98 at Nanded for utilizing the service of the senior citizens for betterment of the people in slums and adopted villages.
