School has been established in 1976. The ratio of the student to teacher is 5:1. The success rate of student is 82%. Sectional library collection is maintained in the School of Physics. Five projects from different agencies are under progress. The School is having DRS and COSIST programmes from UGC and FIST programme from DST. Department of computer Science was initiated in 1986 with a financial support of Rs 71 lakhs from DRDO, ministry of Defence, New Delhi, with the objective of impacting technical acumen in the frontier areas of burgeoning computer science and IT industry, is offering course master of science in physics and computer science software. School has Collaboration with National and international groups.
