S.D. Polytechnic, Muzaffarnagar was established in 1978 with a dream of strengthening the education in Muzaffarnagar and its surroundings. The motto behind the establishment of S.D.Polytechnic was to make the women of this region self dependent and self employed. The year 2001 has been a milestone in the history of S.D.Polytechnic, when Institute had been awarded approval from All India Council of Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.), and affiliation with the Board of Technical Education (B.T.E., U.P.).
