Sheikh-Ul-Alam College of Education is affiliated to University of Kashmir and approved by NAAC.  The college being the only professional college of this far flung / backward hilly district caters to the need of the educated youth, both male & female of thirteen educational zones of the district and catchment area extends to Karnah , Keran, Machil and Jumgand. Besides it is an inter state college of education. The college offers Bachelor of Education training program.
