Sri Venkateswara College was established in the year 1961 with an aim to provide quality education to the students of South India. However, the college soon grew on to become one of the most popular colleges in Delhi leaving its regional character behind. The college offers BA, B.Com, B.Sc, MA and M.Sc courses. The college is affiliated to University of Delhi and is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade.

  • All labs are well equipped with latest equipments.

Library

  • The college is equipped with a fully computerized library, functioning on the basis of an 'open access' system. It houses over one lakh twenty thousand book titles and subscribes to 75 journals/periodicals and twelve newspapers in four languages. The library also contains more than 200 educational CDs and about 20 sets of encyclopedia. Students are provided the facility of computers with high speed internet connectivity and access to e-journals.

Hostel

  • Sri Venkateswara College offers a housing option for outstation students. The residential hostel, set up in 2008, is located withinthe College Campus. It has two wings, one each for boys and girls,the Sri Balaji Boys' Hostel and the Sri Padmavati Girls' Hostelrespectively. The hostel is a four-storied building with 72 rooms, 36 in each wing, each room accommodating two persons. ExtraCurricular

  • The fine arts association conducts both intra- and inter-college competitions in events such as classical, western and folk dance, music, choreography, dramatics, creative writing, photography, painting and rangoli. It also organizes the inter-college annual festival Nexus in association with the Students' Union. The college fine arts team was adjudged as the "best team in fine arts" at the HT Youth Nexus festival for the second consecutive year.

Placement

Venky has a good placement record. Students get offers from companies like EnY, Deloitte, Google and KPMG.
