St. Francis Institute of Technology (SFIT) was established in 1999 with a view to form an Engineering Degree Institute to meet the long felt public need of an Institute of Excellence in Borivli.
SFIT has 3 UG Programs and 2 PG Programs within the most desirable disciplines considering each industrial need and public preference. These courses would result in award of the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B. E.) and Master of Engineering (M.E.) in connected discipline of Engineering.
SFIT is authorized by NBA, approved by AICTE and is related to the University of mumbai.
SFIT is certified with the standard Management System Standards ISO 9001:2008 for providing undergraduate courses in Engineering/Technology.

The Institute has several networked computer laboratories to be used during a big selection of subjects from all three engineering disciplines. A host of events are held regularly for the benefit of the teaching faculty. One week and two week short term training programs (STTP) are organized on a regular basis on relevant and latest topics. These STTPs are held under the banner of ISTE and is useful for career advancement of the staff members. Faculty members are also encouraged to attend such courses arranged else in and out of Mumbai.
