The Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University founded by the Government of Tamil Nadu under an Act in 2004, It is the first exclusively and unique of its kind in India as an affiliatory University, exclusively for Physical Education and Sports.The vision of the university is to engage in relentless pursuit of Excellence in the promotion and development of Physical Education and Sports through innovative programmes in teaching, coaching, research and outreach activities.The goal of the university is to create an ideal academic environment for Learning and to facilitate the application of research findings to refine and sharpen the coaching and training techniques in Physical Education and Sports.The TNPESU has fully automated modern library and information centre full with books and current Journals.
