CIDESCO- One of the most important examinations is Comite International d’Esthetiques et de Cosmetologie (CIDESCO) exam, which is conducted every year by the Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (ABTC). The Indian branch of CIDESCO conducts this examination for admission in certificate programmes. The candidate should meet the following requirement to apply for Post Graduate Diploma in Beauty Technology and Cosmetology-
Candidate should be at least 16 years of age to be eligible to apply for the same. Although it is not mandatory to have a formal qualification, however, various industries will require you to attend cosmetology school. It would be preferable if the candidate has studied Diploma in Cosmetology to get a better understanding of the subject.
Candidates will be admitted on the basis of their class 12th board exams result or on the merit prepared by the institute. Admission process will depend on either an entrance exam conducted by a particular college or merit list.
Generally, the duration of the programme is fifteen months; however, there are some colleges, which extend it to eighteen months depending on their course structure.
