Yes, you can opt for Master of Science in Genetics after Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or Biochemistry.
Genetics deals with the study of genes which reveals information preserved in DNA and which has been accumulated through evolution. The study of applied genetics has enabled biochemists to actually develop several processes and products that benefit mankind, like use of finger printing in forensic science.
Eligibility:
• You should have completed three years Science degree course in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics/ Life sciences / Zoology / Botany / Chemistry / Microbiology / Applied Biology / Biochemistry / Genetics with minimum 50% marks.
• Admission will be based on AIET (All India Entrance Test) conducted by D Y Patil University or institute norms. However, eligibility criteria and admission varies from college to college.
