Hi, Bioinformatics is all about Molecular Bioinformatics, Cellular and Sub-cellular Bioinformatics and Orgasmic and Community Bioinformatics. Though the subject is barely 10 years old, it has become very relevant for other subjects like biotechnology. Since it is a fast , young and quickly developing science, there is a lot of scope for it in terms of jobs. In fact bioinformatics has become a lot more popular after the completion of the mapping of the human genome in 2000. This breakthrough was possible mainly through the use of bioinformatics. So there is a lot of scope of applying bioinformatics in areas like proteomics, Genomics, combinatorial chemistry, statistics, nanotechnology, spectroscopy and structural and computational Biology in the coming days.
