Hi Vipin,
National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.
Eligibility: you should have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off in Master's Degree (or equivalent) examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. to appear for this examination.
There is no problem having distance or regular MBA degree but degree must be approved by UGC or any recognised university. You are eligible to apply for NET exam after completing your MBA from distance learning also.
You can get all the information regarding eligibility criteria for UGC-NET exam by visiting official website of University Grant Commission.
Good luck!!!
