Dear Student,

Revenue Officers examine and analyze accounts to identify the issues in tax payment. They are also responsible to carry out meetings with late payees and those who have failed in payment of the same. Revenue Officers have the power to seize funds and assets of those whose who fail in tax payment before the deadline.

Eligibility:

• You should have passed graduation in any of the areas of business, accounting, or related field from any recognized university.

• There will be departmental test for low-grade candidates to get in to the position of the same.

• Apart from educational qualifications, you should possess adequate work experience in the related area also.

The hierarchy of the Election Commissioner is like this:

• Chief Election Commissioner – national level

• Chief Electoral Officer – state level

• District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers and Returning Officers - district and constituency levels

You will need to take the Civil Service exam/ state service exam and work your way upwards! The minimum eligibility criterion is graduation. After that you can start preparing for your UPSC entrance exam.
