Hi Shivani Dropping another year for preparing for CAT and other entrance exams totally depends on your priorities. If you can prepare well along with studying CFA side by side, you should go ahead. Though not everyone can handle too many things at the same time. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a relatively new field and has already has assumed significant importance in the changing business scenario. The CFA programme helps develop skills in financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, investment management, project planning, venture capital management and so on. After doing the course you can get jobs in areas such as corporate finance, investment management and other financial services like Leasing, Hire Purchasing, Project Planning, Issue Management, Credit Rating, Venture Capital etc. We'd advise you to tackle one thing at a time. Complete your CFA first and then see if you need to follow it up with an MBA.
