If you are not interested to become IPS officer, you should convince your parents that you have interest in other field so let you do that as you will do extremely well in your interested field and you don't want to do anything without your interest. If your choice is based on your interest and strengths, you will perform much better and will be able to get good opportunities. We are sure your parents would agree with your decision for your better career.

IPS is very good option to serve the nation. It is a highly competitive and challenging yet powerful and prestigious field. We want to say that if you have some interest to do something for the nation, you should opt for IPS.
