Since you completed you diploma in mechanical engineering and now you want to do B.Tech. in mechanical engineering, it is good option to continue your studies in same field.

Eligibility: - pass 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics to take admission in any institute with required percentile followed by entrance test such as IIT- JEE, GATE, KCET, MHT-CET, etc. conducted by institute or organisations.

As you mentioned you are diploma holder in mechanical engineering. You can get admission in B.Tech degree course through lateral entry to fulfill the requirement of institute. This will save your one year and get admission directly to the second year.

MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra (specifically by the Directorate of Technical Education). This exam is conducted for take admission in degree courses in Engineering, Health Sciences and Pharmacy.

Eligibility: You should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics scoring at least 50% aggregate marks in the PCM combination.
