You friends are right. Primarily, why is a management degree primarily required? To manage, right. Now if you have no work experience, and do not know how a corporate functions, how and what will you manage?

So yes, since you are doing B. Tech, why don’t you work for a year or two and then take up MBA of whatever you are interested in at that point in time. Trust us, you will be in a better position to judge what you want out of your life.

Having said that, it’s not like you will not succeed if you do MBA right after B. Tech. If you do really well in your academics, you will get a job as a Management Trainee and you can work your way upwords.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) after Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a good combination to pursue these days. There are ample of career opportunities in private as well as government sectors with this combination.
