Hi Anagh, first and foremost, you will need to do your undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Social Work. After that, you can start working for an NGO. You will need identify which branch of social work you are intersted in - strategizing, planning, field work, training etc. Once you have gained considerable experience, you can start building contacts as you go along with Indian and international financers, World Banks etc. You need to get permission to start your NGO and once that is granted, you will have to look for financers who will invest in your NGO. Its a long procedure, but with patience and determination, we're sure you will do it!
