Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical infrastructure of the world which include Water works, Sewers, Dams, Power Plants, Transmission Towers/Lines, Railroads, Highways, Bridges, Tunnels, Irrigation Canals, River Navigation, etc.

Civil engineering is the oldest branch of engineering which is growing right from the stone age of civilisation. Civil engineers are becoming more and more important in the recent years.
