Hi Shashank,
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that is required to be taken by students seeking admission in any of the graduate schools. Students seeking admission into any Masters Program (Master of Arts or MS) in US, and many other European countries as well are required to take GRE.
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
If you want to go for higher studies abroad, you have to clear GRE exam to get admission in MS programme and for India you must have required score in GATE exam.
Admission to any abroad institute varies from country to country, because the admission and the eligibility criteria depend on the requirement of universities or institutions of different countries where you want to apply.
For more information on abroad studies you can visit our website of Study Abroad.

Whether you study in India or in abroad both are good options. This decision totally depends on you, whether you want to go abroad for MS programme or take admission in M.Tech in India for higher studies.
Good luck!!!
