The BBE is a good base programme for any career, with possibilities of campus placements. So, I suggest you continue with your regular programme. Actuarial science is a difficult subject and is not recommended along with the BBE. It will be better for you to take up actuarial studies after completing your B.B.E programme. The B.B.E has scope similar to a B.B.A with a focus on economics. You have done well to take up the B.B.E programme. So, stay with it and then you can carry on with actuarial studies, or go for insurance management or an MBA for better career prospects. As there is no formal ranking of DU’s courses, it is difficult to rate your college. Your best bet would be to check job placements of last year’s graduates. Moreover, you cannot compare one course with another, as each has a value based on the work you wish to pursue, and the most suitable study route for it. Actuarial science is about the statistical evaluation of the financial and economic implications of possible future contingencies. So, the work of an actuary involves the calculation of insurance risk, premiums and pensions for different insurance schemes. You, therefore, require strong mathematical skills to get into this field. With private companies and several huge multi-national conglomerates coming into the insurance sector, there is a growing demand for trained actuaries. Business management is one of the most sought-after careers. However, you need strong decision-making abilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills if you want to succeed in business management.
