Dear student,
With the increasing trade ties, there is an expanding need for foreign language experts especially in Spanish, French, German, Chinese and Japanese. Career in languages can prove fruitful for you. There are different routes for learning a foreign language. You can join one of the known institutes like Alliance Francaise or Max Mueller Bhavan, University of Delhi, Jawaharlal National University (JNU) and Indira Gandhi National Open University. You could also do a part-time/full-time certificate course available at different universities and then move up to advanced level qualifications.

However, you should understand that just knowing a specific language is not a skill in any field. You should team it up with a professional degree for good job opportunities. For eg., if you have mastered Italian language and have done a course in International Politics, then you will get an excellent opportunity to work in the field with Italian knowledge as a value addition to your career.
After completing language courses, you could get a job in a wide range of profiles such as translator, interpreter, language teacher or linguist etc.
