Hi, yes NDTVMI is a good place to do apprenticeship from. Since it is one of the leading media houses in country, you will get good exposure in the media field. Make the most out of it, because if you want to move out of 'NDTV', you may face stiff competetion.

NDTVMI is unlike the other Media courses offered by institutes like IIMC, Delhi or Xavier's, Mumbai. These are proper institutes with accredition/ affiliations with various universities. Please find out if the course offered in NDTVMI is government certified or not before you take the plunge. Then your degree will hold value anywhere in India (should you opt to change in future). The Broadcast Training Programme by NDTV is a 10 months certificate course that invites apprenticeship combining the elements of workshop learining and hands on training that covers all aspects of broadcast journalism ranging from the basics of journalism and pre-production to editing, writing, anchoring, and presentation.

Eligibility Criteria for Boradcast Journalism course at NDTVMI

• Maximum age should not cross 28 years
• Strong academic and extra curricular background
• Minimum percentage: 45% (for honours) and 50% (for others) at graduation

Applications can be downloaded from the official link of ndtvmi and be submitted along with a demand draft of Rs. 1000 (in favour of NDTV Ltd.) and sent to the NDTV office (207, Okhla Industrial Estate, Phase III, New Delhi-110020), latest by March 1, 2011.
