Armed forces are fighting forces responsible for protecting a country from foreign and internal threat. A career in armed forces is a matter of pride, glory and honour for an individual. You can attain knowledge and expertise in military science, system, technology, equipments, weapon system, operations, etc.
To become an officer in Indian Army requires training in a recognised Army Institute. There are four main entries to get into IMA. In your final year of Graduation, you need to pass the Combined Defence Services Exams, clear the SSB, be medically fit and join IMA as a Direct Entry if you come in merit. The other entries are the 10+2 Tech Entry where you apply after your 12th, the University Entry Scheme where you apply in your Pre-Final/Final Year of Engineering and finally for those who have completed their B.E./B. Tech in notified streams, there is a Technical Graduate Course too at the IMA.
