Hi Zareef,

It all depends on what your career aspirations are. You can opt for MA in Eco and become an advisor, or pursue MBA in any of the various specializations. Both options are good and promise a good pay. Here are some other fields that you can pursue.

You can try Accountancy or finance related careers through programmes like CWA or get a diploma in banking and finance, treasury management and financial planning offered by a number of institutes.

Otherwise, you could pursue Masters of Commerce or Law or Mass Communication or prepare for Civil Services including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Economic Services and others. If non-finance courses interest you, then there are a number of diplomas in fields such as event management and travel and tourism available. Much depends on your interests and the field of work you wish to focus on.

Masters in Fashion Management is another option. It will equip you with managerial skills in the field of fashion marketing, merchandising and retailing best suited to the requirements of garment export and fashion retail sectors and at the same time, inculcate the right attitude to be a part of the middle management of any growing organisation. Soft skills of leadership, ethics, team work and communication will become the driving force in this field. While you will obviously use hard skills like theory knowledge of finance, marketing, accounting and operations in your job, your soft skills will help you grow from just an individual to a well-rounded individual.

You can also look at doing Company Secretary, which is available in three courses – Foundation, Intermediate & Final. If you are dedicated, proficient in spoken and written English, bear a moral character, can exercise diplomacy in understanding the company strategies and policies of the company and are intellectual, loyal, sophisticated and meticulous, then you have all it takes to become a successful Company Secretary.
