Hi deepanshu, why do you want to pursue masters in social work? Do you feel you can make a difference or help those who are in need? Its a great thought, however, may not be as lucrative as a career and pay, if compared with engineering. It will also take you many years to get to a position where you will be managing the work. The first few years will be on the field (not all the time though) and loads of hard work. However, if you do wish to pursue Social Work, there are many places you opt to work - health care, economic upliftment etc and choose to work in offices, field, in corporates, the UN etc. But you will need to find out the specifications. As you are an engineering student, we will suggest you to stick to engineering and do philanthropic work side by side. You can be associated with a good NGO and work for a cause close to your heart.
