Hi,

To become a lecturer you first need to do your Master’s in the desired field that you wish to teach and need to secure above 55 % marks in your masters degree to sit for NET exam (National Eligibility Test). The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts the NET exam to determine eligibility for lectureship in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession. UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December.
