No, an year gap doesn’t affect your career but you have to give appropriate reason for gap and there is no age limit for entering into PG Programme in engineering.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering), TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test), VITEEE Engineering Entrance Exam, GGSIPU Engineering CET Entrance exam, etc. are some common entrance test to take admission in good Engineering colleges. However, there are some common entrance tests that are conducted by individual colleges or universities by their own. You may contact individual college/university to get more information on eligibility criteria and admission procedure for M.Tech.
