Hi Shruthi, usually its the other way round. You could apply in the colleges of your choice based on your graduation result and your engineering entrance exam score. Some of the entrance exams include - IIT JEE, MHT-CET, KCET, AIEEE, BITSAT. Since you have graduated in Physics, you will need to do your engineering in the graduate level only. Alternatively, you can go for a Diploma course. Here are colleges offering Diploma courses. Good luck!
