Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was conceived as a 'Research Institute' or 'University of Research'. Institute offers Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the field of Management, Design, Engineering and Technology etc.

But if you want to pursue your Master’s degree from abroad, you have to give English Proficiency Test i.e. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE). You must have completed your 16 years of study i.e. 10+2+ four years degree or three years degree +Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma.
