Hi Chandan, it’s okay that you dropped a year. You can pursue either MBA or Company Secretary course, depending upon your strengths and career aspirations. As set by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a Company Secretary course is available in three courses – Foundation, Intermediate & Final. If you are dedicated, proficient in spoken and written English, bear a moral character, can exercise diplomacy in understanding the company strategies and policies of the company and are intellectual, loyal, sophisticated and meticulous, then you have all it takes to become a successful Company Secretary.

If you are inclined towards MBA, then you should not waste any further time and get going on it. Since you are already a BBA graduate, MBA entrance tests should not be an issue as you would be familiar with the pattern. If you want to become an efficient manager, then MBA is the course for you. Start preparing for it with immediate effect! Money wise, if you can do your MBA from a good institute, your pay scale will be better than that of a Company Secretary. The reputation and career satisfaction is equal for both the jobs. So, good luck!
