There are some universities offering B.Tech at distance mode. We would like to inform you that they are not approved by AICTE. The universities are-

• Karnataka State Open University
• Indira Gandhi National Open University
• Kota Open University
• JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University
• Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)
• Thapar University
• SRM University

The Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (AMIE) exam is conducted by Institution of Engineers India Limited (IEIL). AMIE is recognized as equivalent to Engineering Degree by the Government of India, State Governments, Union Territories, Union Public Service Commission, State Public Service Commission’s etc.

The final decision is in your hand whether you want to go for AMIE program or to go for B.Tech through distance mode.
