Dear Student,

To get into CA first of all you have to take the registration in ICAI in CPT and for that a person must have completed their 10+2th it may be in any stream. the percentage should be

for Commerce - 50%

for science/ arts - 55%

Now, a candidate can get the chance in CA only on the basis of their 10+2th exam. Graduation is not necessary to pursue CA.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is the only body that awards the CA qualification. To pursue a career as chartered accountant, you should follow the following steps:-

• Enrol for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT).
• Prepare for CPT  in your Plus Two.
• Take CPT exam after class XII.
• After clearing CPT, register for the Professional Competence Course (PCC), articled training and 100-hour Information Technology Training (ITT).
• After ITT, sit for the Professional Competence Exam (PCE).
• Take up the CA final course.
