IIT-JEE (Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Exam) is the exam conducted for the students who aspire to take admission in Engineering and Technology courses under the top technical institutes of India.
There are fifteen IITs at present, located in Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mandi, Mumbai, Patna, Ropar and Roorkee. The admissions to the Undergraduate Programmes at these institutions for all Indian and Foreign nationals are made through the
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
Eligibility: -
- You must have passed 10+2 with at least 60% marks in aggregate in PCM but if you are from the SC, ST and PD category you must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in PCM from a recognized board.
- You can appear in the Joint Entrance Exam two times only, that also should be in consecutive years.
- You must be physically fit for the course for which they have applied.
- The candidates who will be giving their final examinations of 10+2 in 2011 are also eligible to apply.

If you want to give improvement exams, you can sit for the
IIT JEE, but you must have secured at least 60% in the 12th examination if you are appearing for improvement exams.
Then you can go for
IIT JEE after getting qualified percentage in 10+2.
