Punjab Technical University (PTU) offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme with Lateral Entry i.e. MCA (3rd Semester) and MCA (5th Semester).

The duration of MCA (3rd Semester) programme is 2 to 4 years and duration of MCA (5th Semester) programme is 1 to 3 years. The MCA programme of PTU is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).

Eligibility for MCA (3rd Semester): You should have passed graduation with PGDCA/PGDIT/ADHNT from PTU/ ‘A’ Level from DOEACC/BCA/B.Sc (IT/CS/CAM) or B.E/B.Tech in any stream from a recognized university.

Eligibility for MCA (3rd Semester): You should have passed M.Sc (CS/IT) from any recognized university.
