Hi,

You need to have English Background Bachelor’s and Master’s level to become an English Lecturer. Post graduation is enough to teach in private and government colleges on temporary basis. However, to get in permanent position of lecturer, you need to pass University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET). UGC-NET exam is conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC). You must have secured minimum 55% marks in PG to attend the exam.
