Animation is a good stream for career purposes specially since the advancement of 2D and 3D movies coming in India.  Regarding the education aspect, there are options which are equipped in terms of infrastructure and faculty., I think you should personally visit them.Some of the schools which I recommend you to visit are:
a) AAFT, Noida
b) Asian School of Media Studies, Film City, Noida
