Well Madhu, it is best to be honest. You should tell them about your condition and why you were unable to do it. Plus, you can share with them, your performance before you fell ill. Its better to come clean rather than make random stories. At least your recruiters will know that you did something worthwhile in the last few years and not sat around wasting your time!
