Shipbuilding involves the design, construction, operation and support of the systems and equipment which propel and control marine vehicles, and of the systems which make a vehicle habitable for crew, passengers and cargo. It normally takes place in a specialized facility known as a shipyard. Shipbuilding and ship repairs, both commercial and military, are referred to as "naval engineering".
Many of institute’s offer Bachelor degree, diploma, M.Tech in Naval Architecture, etc. courses in the field of Shipbuilding.
Basic requirement for take admission in shipbuilding course is 10+2 with Science, Mathematics and English or equivalent for diploma level course.
Candidate must have Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical / Civil / Aeronautical Engineering / Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture or equivalent. General candidates should have 60% aggregate in B.Tech and 55% for reserved category candidates.
