Dear Student,

Combined Defence Service Exam is conducted by the UPSC for selecting eligible candidates to recruit in Army, Air Force and Navy for training in Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

The qualification criterion for applying for the examination is different for every programme. In order to apply for Indian Air Force, you should be a graduate in either Physics or Mathematics or BE / B.Tech in Engineering. Aspirants who are appearing for the final year of qualifying exam are also eligible.

You should not be below the age of 19 years. The upper age limit for applying the Air force is 23 years. In addition to the above requirements, you need to be physically fit in terms of the Physical Standards.
