No, AIPMT and AICET are different exams.

All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) is a medical entrance test conducted by Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College for taking admission to undergraduate courses of Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS).

Eligibility:-

• You should be an Indian national and should have completed 17 years of age as on or before December 31, 2014

• You should have passed CBSE Board examination, Indian School Certificate exam, Higher Secondary Certificate exam or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 HSC examination.

• You must secure minimum50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

On the other hand, All India Pre-Medical/Dental Test (AIPMT) is a carried out each year by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to 15% seats of the total seats for Medical/ Dental Courses in all Medical colleges / Dental Colleges.

Eligibility:

• You should have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S. /B.D.S. course.

• You must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
